Cuisinart “Multiclad Pro” Stainless-Steel 7 piece Cookware

Home / Reviews / Cuisinart “Multiclad Pro” Stainless-Steel 7 piece Cookware

I was strongly advised to buy the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro 7 piece Stainless Steel Cookware about 12 months ago by my neighbour and I am really glad I made the decision to buy it.

Before buying Cuisinart’s Stainless-Steel Cookware, I was using non stick cookware but after reading about an increasing number of health problems arising from using non stick appliances I decided I would stop using non stick cookware and move to Stainless Steel Cookware.

I really wanted something that provided me value for money, something that would last and something that would allow me to provide meals that were not only elegant but tasty.

My neighbour spoke so highly of Cuisinart I thought that would be my first choice. The price of the set, at under $200, was within the budget I had set to buy new cookware.

The appearance of the product clearly showed quality and the feel of the product indicated that the product would last.

I really was pleasantly surprised when I started using the Cuisinart Multiclad Stainless Steel Cookware.

I found all of the items, in the set, heated evenly because of the brushed stainless steel exterior, pure aluminium core and and stainless steel interior although for best results I found that preheating the saucepans provided even better results.
The stainless steel covers also helped to maintain an even cooking temperature when using the Cuisinart cookware. Again for best results I recommend using the covers.

I have used the cookware at temperatures of up to 450 degrees and although Cuisinart have advised that temperatures of up to 550 degrees may safely be used I am yet to use the cookware at these temperatures.

I did notice some mild discolouration in the saucepans in the first two to three months after purchase, however, any further deterioration did not occur after 3 months of purchasing the set. They do, however, continue to be very easy to clean.
The 7 piece set includes a 1.5 quart saucepan, a 3.0 quart saucepan, and an 8 quart stockpot, each with covers, and a 10 inch skillet.

While some may find the range of sizes in the cookware inhibiting I did not find the limited range of sizes affected me. I found the combination of cookware could be easily accommodated with a little bit of thought.

The Cuisinart cookware has a nice long handle which doesn’t get hot. The handles are easy and comfortable to hold and despite the length of the handles the entire range feels well balanced. One feature I didn’t really notice at first, but which really helps when lifting or pouring, are the thumb rests which were developed by Cuisinart and incorporated into many of their products.

This set is dishwasher safe and ovenproof it has even coped with those few occasions when I have let things burn to a crisp. [Not that I was ever really seeking to test the cookware in that way].

When I need to pour, what i have prepared, I find the rim helps me pour juices with minimal dripping and waste. I feel that the tapered rim available from Cuisinart helps to keep cooking and serving drip free.

The covers are also stainless steel and, unlike many lids that allow substantial room for movement, the Cuisinart covers fit snugly into the various items while maintaining manoeuvrability.

Being stainless steel this range of products doesn’t have the limited lifespan that applies with cookware with non stick surfaces and for me this is a big selling point. Another major selling point in favour of using stainless steel products is you can be confident you and your family will not consume parts of non stick surfaces that may have separated from the cookware. Of course, you and your family will also not inhale possibly toxic compounds released when non stick surfaces are heated and cooled.

While I didn’t require much instruction, I did look at the instructional material Cuisinart provided. It wasn’t like those brochures you see that can’t seem to wait to get beyond English to show how many language translations they can provide. The instructions were important, meaningful and clearly told me what those using the Cuisinart products would want to know.

The recipes, too, which are standard with products from Cuisinart, were also clearly written and were so clear that my recently widowed grandfather was able to produce a couple of dishes he just adores. Now he doesn’t even refer to the original recipes!!

Cuisinart is known for its quality cookware and over the 12 months I have used the Cuisinart Multiclad cookware I have not discovered any aspect that would stop me from wholeheartedly recommending this product to any aspiring or professional chef.
With Cuisinart having over 30 years production experience you can also be confident there will be a Cuisinart product available to meet any additional cookware need you may have. A product which will have the same consistent quality, finish and value of the 7 piece multi-clad cookware set.

Irrespective of whether you want to make sauces, simmer, sauté, brown or boil the Cuisinart cookware is the ideal set for you. Cuisinart is not only the choice of professionals but also for those aspiring to make that special meal for their loved one. A meal where the unique flavours of your specialty are preserved for you and your partner to savour for hours.

Of course, feel welcome to investigate other products, but if you are looking for quality cookware, that is value for money, that will enable you to produce tasty, succulent meals and which are sure to impress you cannot let the opportunity to buy Cuisinart pass. I assure you, you will not be disappointed.
